The MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management program covers all aspects of effective operations and supply chain management in a highly competitive global marketplace. It looks at how successful operations and supply chain management can shape the sales and profit ambition of a business. Combining XJTLU’s growing reputation and International Business School Suzhou’s dynamic and innovative international expertise alongside intensive collaboration with the business community and proximity to the Yangtze River Delta region, the program is one of the few English-language masters programs of its type in China.
Throughout the programm, opportunities are provided for you to analyse and examine the most up-to-date developments in operations and supply chain practice through a series of industrial lectures and best practice industry visits. You will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to reach senior managerial positions or become an operations, logistics and supply chain management strategist.
Accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is currently being sought, while students will be exempted from a number of required modules by the American Society of Transportation and Logistics to qualify for chartered status.
Graduates of this program, as with all XJTLU masters degrees, earn a University of Liverpool degree that is recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Academic Background
An undergraduate degree (UK 2:1 or equivalent) in BArch, BEng in Architecture, BA (Hons) in Architecture or equivalent. Applicants are required to submit a portfolio of their own creative works as a student and a practicing architect/intern (indicating where and when the work was done, who the tutor/supervisor was, who was part of the team and what the applicants’ role was in the team, A3-size, typically 10 to 30 pages, in PDF format). An internship in an architecture-related practice is recommended, but not required. We might accept applicants with substantial work experience or an outstanding portfolio even if their grades are lower than the minimum entry requirements.
If English is not your native language or if you have not studied in English at degree level, you will need to provide evidence of your English proficiency. You should normally possess one of the following qualifications:
In exceptional circumstances, individual cases will be considered on their own merits. You may be required to attend interviews or tests to further demonstrate your English proficiency.
If you miss the English language requirements by 0.5-1.0 of an IELTS band, or a similar number for other English language exams, you can be admitted to the program after successful completion of our four- or six-week intensive English presessional course.
You can also apply to take the XJTLU English language test in lieu of an IELTS/TOEFL or equivalent. Based on the score, students may be admitted or may be required to take and successfully complete the four- or six-week intensive English presessional course.
Additionally, students may be required to complete English language courses on a pass/fail basis as part of the additional learning activity requirement during their studies at XJTLU.

The accommodation facilities our students stay in are located within the Suzhou Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District and managed privately by the Suzhou Industrial Park Education Development and Investment Limited Company.
All international students are guaranteed accommodation throughout their study at XJTLU. Accommodation options range from studios to five-bedroom apartments (subject to availability with preference given to advanced bookings).
Most students stay in the Wencui Parfait apartments where each student has a private bedroom with en-suite bathroom – the average monthly rental fee is RMB 1,600 per month. Rents range from RMB 1,200 per month to RMB 2,100 per month depending on the length of the contract.
If preferred, postgraduate international students can access cheaper, basic dormitory accommodation which is either single or shared with prices ranging from 300-500 RMB per month

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is an international joint venture university founded by Xi’an Jiaotong University in China and the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. As an independent Sino-foreign cooperative university, it captures the essence of both prestigious parent universities and is the first and only one of its kind approved by the Ministry of Education in China.
The University currently offers approximately 90 degree programmes in the fields of science, engineering, business, finance, architecture, urban planning, language, culture and all are taught in English except for general and basic courses. Undergraduate students earn two degrees: an XJTLU degree from the Chinese Ministry of Education and a globally recognised degree from the University of Liverpool.
