Yan’An Road Campus
International Students at the West Yan’An Road campus will live in one of the three International Student Apartments. All apartments have both single and double rooms available. Each room contains a private bath, furniture, A/C, telephone, Television, refrigerator and internet. Each floor also provides washing machines and a community kitchen with electric stoves and microwave. Students can use a washing machine card to wash their own clothes or may use the charge laundry services in the Laundry Room on the First Floor of Apartment #1 instead. Washing machine cards can be purchased in the Laundry Room. A Washing Machine Card costs 30Y for 10 washes. Laundry Services charge based on the services needed. For security reasons, all international student apartments are only accessible by using your international student card. Visitors can be signed in at the entrance security desk, but are not permitted to stay overnight.
There are two dining halls on West Yan’An Road campus. They are referred to as #1 and #2. Dining Hall #1 has three floors. The first and second floors contain a variety of Chinese foods, including steamed foods, a noodle station, a bakery, a cooked-to-order station, and a hot skillet station. The third floor contains the school restaurant and the Muslim dining hall. Dining Hall #2 contains another bakery/snack stand and more Chinese foods options. All Dining Halls use an electronic card system. Your dining card can be obtained at the International Student Office #122 and more money can be added at the second floor window of Dining Hall #1. Breakfast is available from 7:00-9:00 AM, lunch from 11:00-13:30, and dinner from 16:30-21:00.
Songjiang Campus
International Students at Songjiang Campus will live in the teacher’s house(for female students,single room) or No.5 international students apartment (for male students,double room), each room has furniture,A/C,telephone, Television, refrigerator and internet Jet inside. In addition, public service facilities like washing machine, microwave, drinking water machine are provided in the same building.Students should apply an internet account from telecom compay like China telecom, China mobile etc, internet price is about RMB 100 yuan/month.
Donghua university gives each student a free electricity & hotwater ticket each month. When a student use more electricity or hotwater than the quota, he should pay for it himself.
Students live on Songjiang Campus have many options to have meal, two dining halls on campus with a Muslim dining place, many restaurants in Songjiang university town street which is just 5 minutes to go.

Donghua University (DHU), formerly China Textile University, was founded in 1951. Located in the downtown area in Shanghai and adjacent to Hongqiao Economic Development Zone, DHU is one of the state-key universities directly under the Ministry of Education of China. Its feature disciplines, such as Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, International Trade, Material Science, and Information Technology have received high reputation both domestically and abroad.
DHU is a multi-disciplinary university with a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs across a vast field of disciplines including engineering, economics, management, literature and art, laws, science, and education. It has 13 colleges and schools, offering 54 undergraduate programs, 59 master’s degree programs, 30 doctoral degree programs, and 5 postdoctoral research programs, among which are 6 state key disciplines and 7 Shanghai municipal key disciplines. Academic achievements have found applications in areas such as aeronautics, military science, new material, architecture, and environment protection.
