Description

To fulfill the needs of modern medical development, this program is designed to train students who are enabled to develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically as clinical specialists. Students trained under this program will be armed with sound basic knowledge expertise, and skills in modern medicine, and can be qualified for teaching and research work done in the field of clinical medicine.

1. Students are to be cultivated with a strong love for medical cause and medical ethics of healing the wounded and rescuing the dying, thus getting well prepared to be medical professionals with lofty ideals, integrity, knowledge and a strong sense of discipline.

2. Students are expected to possess

a) a good command of basic theories, knowledge and skills in their field of studies;

b) information of the latest development in that field;

c) sound knowledge and clinical skills in disease diagnosis, treatment and preventive health services;

d) sound expertise in traditional Chinese medicine theory.

3. Students are expected to have a good mastery of a foreign language to be able to read books and journals in that language.

4. Students are to be trained with a sound mastery of basic methods of medical literature retrieval; and be able to do practical work and scientific research.

At the moment we have two dormitory buildings with a total of 141 rooms for foreign students. In each room t here is a small entry corridor with two closets and the door to the bathroom. The room itself is about 150 square feet. Each room is equipped with beds, a wardrobe, a desk and chair, a sidetable, a television (with reception of all Chinese channels and satellite). Each room has at least one large window.

In addition, central heat is provided by a radiator in the winter, and the rooms have individually controlled air-conditioners for the summer heat. Moreover every room has internet connection. The bathroom is comfortable. It is about 25 square feet. The toilet is western style. There is a water heater mounted on the wall that connects by hose to a shower head. There is a sink and mirror. Every bathroom is also equipped with a washing machine. Apart from the rooms in the dormitory there is also a public kitchen with cooking utilities and refrigerators and a place where the students can have their meals.

Normally international students share a room with another international student. The cost price is 5500 RMB a year. In case you don`t want to share a room, you can get a single room, the price of which is 11.000 RMB a year.

About the University Summary

Jinzhou Medical University (Used to be known as Liaoning Medical University - LMU) originated from the Health School of Liaoji Military Region, which was founded in 1946 during the War of Liberation and was moved to Jinzhou of Liaoning Province in 1949. The school developed into Jinzhou Medical College in 1958 and the name was changed into Liaoning Medical University in 2006. In the next year, LMU passed the teaching proficiency testing of the Ministry of Education with excellent performance. The university was officially renamed Jinzhou Medical University in March 2016 under the approval of the Ministry of Education. Through 70 years of development, JZMU has developed into a provincial medical university with chiefly medical-based, multi-level, multidisciplinary, and multi-form education.

Jinzhou Medical University covers an area of 915 acres, including general higher education, adult education, higher vocational education, and international students' education. In 1984, the university began to grant a master's degree. In 1999, it received the qualification of granting a master's degree for those with the same level of education. In 2003, approved by the Ministry of Education, our university began to make a joint training program with China Medical University to cultivate graduates for Ph.D. degrees. Now, there are 8 first -level disciplines authorized to offer master degree, 59 second-level disciplines authorized to offer master's degrees, and 4 disciplines authorized to offer professional master's degree.
