Description

The Chinese Language Program at Tsinghua University offers Chinese language courses of eight levels covering beginners and advanced learners. Each semester, there are more than 400 international students from over 50 countries learning Chinese language at Tsinghua University.For autumn-semester study, the students may submit application from mid March to mid June. For spring-semester study, the application shall be finished from mid October to mid December in the previous year.

Students can start the program in September or February each year. Students can study for 1 semester, 1 year, 1 and a half years, or 2 years.

Located in the north of Tsinghua University, Zijing Apartments (紫荆公寓) is the most modernised student dormitory in China and the largest, able to accommodate 22,400 students. Zijing comprises 26 blocks, with 23 buildings ranging from 7 to 15 stories. The total construction area amounts to 350,000 m2 (3,800,000 sq ft). The cost for the apartments are below. New students should apply at the reception desk of Zijin Building 19.
