New Students

Applications for new students are now live. Please see have a look at our hall and room type pages to help you when making your application preferences. If you are covered by the Chinese Government Scholarship, there is nothing you should do, your room number and hall is stated in your admission notice.

Returning Students

Applications for returning students are now live. You can submit application by communicating directly with the International Students office. China Scholar does not provide accommodation for returning students unless you are considering private apartments

Currently, there are some availability of accommodation and rooms so if you are considering studying a Chinese University and need somewhere to stay, we encourage you to apply asap.

Seasonal accommodation – Summer Short Term

Applications for pre-sessional students studying on summer Chinese Language course will be open in mid-March. Please continue to monitor this page for further updates.

Summer Accommodation

If you are not currently anrolled as a fulltime Degree student and require accommodation over the summer period for academic reasons, try and make arrangements with our staff. If you are currently in halls and require accommodation over the summer period for academic reasons, speak with your university for assistance.

Guidelines on Applying for University Accommodation

Step 1- Make a Choice consistent with your Requirements

Before you decide on what accommodation option is right for you and apply for halls, You should review available room and accommodation options. There are factors you should review before deciding

Step 2: Submit Your Application for Accommodation
Now that you have reviewed available accommodation options and decided how you wat to proceed, the next step is to submit an application. If you have already secured an admission, into one of our partner universities, there is no need to submit another application. Our Team will fix the entire process for you
You need the following
- Applicants should have secured an admission into a university with offer letters released
- An email address that you have access to. Most Universities will like to communicate admission status directly to students
- Scholarship status – If you applied to a scholarship scheme, you have extra details to consider. Scholarship beneficiaries usually do not have options as universities allot them rooms but fee-paying students have the options to decide.

How to Check your Accommodation Status

International Students who have applied to universities and completed their accommodation applications can check the status of their admissions through our systems. Scholarship students can find their allotted halls and residence on their offer letters
Accepting an Offer

Check your emails always and keep an eye on application status. Some International Students are required to make deposit payments for universities to guarantee their rooms. These policies differ from one university to another. Scholarship Applicants should speak with our program advisors or International student office for assistance

#2 Other Considerations

Accommodation Guarantee

International students who have already secured admission with scholarship are guaranteed accommodation. Fee Paying students who are applying for campus dormiories should apply early enough to secure their rooms

Visiting and exchange students

If you are coming to study in China for a short term (Summer, Semester, Year study abroad etc) you should apply for accommodation well ahead of time. Our staff will assist you with bookings and arrangements on paid services

Disability and medical support

Chinese Uiversities provide specially adapted accommodation to suit students with disabilities and medical requirements where possible. Before you start your application for accommodation You should disclose all these requirements early enough to avoid being matched to a room that does not meet your status
